On December 5-6, 2019, the 20th Scientific Conference Modelling of logistics processes and systems organized by the Department of Logistics of the University of Gdańsk and PKP Cargo SA took place at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk.

The 10^th Festival of Literature and Theatre BETWEEN.POMIĘDZY

On December 14, 2018, at 10.30 a.m.-3.00 p.m., the information day on the 2^nd call for proposals in the field of quantum technologies QuantERA 2019 will be held at National Quantum Information Centre(KCIK), Gen. Andersa 27 Street, (KCIK) in Sopot.  The meeting is organised by the National Science Centre and will be in Polish, but at 2 p.m. short consultation sessions will also be available in English.

An Open Access Info Day seminar was held at the University of Gdańsk on 23 October 2018, jointly organised by the UG’s Research Office, the University of Gdańsk Library and the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG&MUG as part of the International Open Access Week. The seminar was opened by the Director of the UG Library, Grażyna Jaśkowiak M.A., and Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Prof. Dr hab. Piotr Stepnowski.

On 17-18 September 2018 the Faculty of Languages of the University of Gdańsk hosted the 76^th Convention of the Polish Linguistic Society, which brought together outstanding Polish scientists. The convention centred around the theme of "Linguistic contacts: history and the present day”.

The University of Gdańsk has hosted the annual, on this occasion the 11^th EuroSymposium, organised at the Faculty of Management by the Department of Business Informatics and PLAIS (Polish Chapter of Association for Information Systems). The Chair of the International Programme Committee of the EuroSymposium2018 was Prof. Dr hab. Stanisław Wrycza, head of the department.

The Conference: “Protection of the Baltic Sea waters from land-based point sources of pollution”

On 10 and 11 April 2018 the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk hosted a meeting of Baltic Science Network partners (BSR INTERREG 2014-2020) which also includes the University of Gdańsk. The meeting was opened by the UG’s Vice-Rector for Development and Economic Cooperation, Prof. Krzysztof Bielawski.

During the 19^th European Carbohydrate Symposium (Eurocarb 19), held in July 2017 in Barcelona, members of the European Carbohydrate Organization decided that the 22^nd European Carbohydrate Symposium (Eurocarb 22) in 2023 will be organised in Gdańsk.

Dr hab. Zbigniew Kaczyński, prof. UG, was elected head of the organisation committee, and the conference will be co-organised by the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk.

On 15.09-16.09.2017, an international conference of the 3rd Meeting of the Polish Iron Club was organized under the auspices of the rectors of three Gdańsk universities: Medical University of Gdańsk, University of Gdańsk and Gdańsk University of Physical Education and Sport.
