Dr hab. Izabela Morska, prof. UG, jest autorką 14 książek i rozlicznych artykułów naukowych. Gościnnie występowała na ponad 50 konferencjach i festiwalach literackich i kulturalnych. Jej własna twórczość stała się tematem co najmniej trzech monografii, w tym Melancholic migrating bodies in Contemporary Polish Women's Writing Urszuli Chowaniec, Arachne i Atena. Literatura, polityka i kobiecy klasycyzm Moniki Świerkosz i Różowy język. Literatura i polityka kultury na początku wieku Bartosza Warkockiego. Prowadzi zajęcia z twórczego pisania, historii i kultury amerykańskiej oraz zwierząt jako postaci literackich , jednocześnie prowadząc badania na styku ekologii i sztuk wizualnych, oraz studiów nad granicami i dynamiką dyskursu publicznego. W UC Berkeley i Mills College studiowała u Chany Bloch, Naomi Seidman i Cynthii Scheinberg. Omówiła zastosowanie długu jako narzędzia narracyjnego w Glorious Outlaws: Debt as a Tool in Contemporary Postcolonial Fiction (2016). Bierze udział w panelach i dyskusjach wypowiadając się na rozmaite tematy, w tym na temat migracji, praw kobiet, praw obywatelskich w UE i praw osób LGBT w Europie Wschodniej. Jej wiersze ukazały się m.in. w Scattering the Dark: An Anthology of Polish Women Poets (Kovacik, ed., 2016) i Parasitenpresse (Kőln 2019). Publikowała w Boston Review, Stand Magazine. Izabela Morska, Ph.D., is author of 14 books and several academic papers. She has been a guest speaker or presented at 50+ conferences, as well as literary and cultural festivals, and has been the subject of at least 3 books of postdoctoral criticism, including Melancholic migrating bodies in Contemporary Polish Women's Writing by Urszula Chowaniec, Arachne and Athena. Literature, politics, and female classicism by Monika Świerkosz, and Pink tongue. Literature and the politics of culture at the beginning of the century. She teaches courses in Creative Writing, American History and Culture, and Animals in Literature while conducting her own research at the intersection of ecology and visual arts, border studies and public discourse dynamics. At UC Berkeley and Mills College, she studied with Chana Bloch, Naomi Seidman, and Cynthia Scheinberg. She discusses the application of debt as a narrative tool in Glorious Outlaws: Debt as a Tool in Contemporary Postcolonial Fiction (2016); participates in panels and discussions, speaking on diverse topics including migration, and women’s rights, civil rights in EU, and LGBT rights in Eastern Europe. Her poetry appeared, i.a., in Scattering the Dark: An Anthology of Polish Women Poets (Kovacik, ed., 2016) and Parasitenpresse (Kőln 2019). Published in Boston Review, Stand Magazine.
