Soon the Oceanograf, the University of Gdańsk’s modern research catamaran, will be equipped with E-NETMOS. The CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) application, created by Enamor, will be installed by the end of March 2019.
E-NETMOS is an informatics system used for providing support and maintaining traffic on ships and in production companies. Its main role is to make it easier for the user to manage resources by specifying the current state of equipment, warehouse or orders, for example, and to assist work flow. The system has a clear and intuitive interface and data synchronisation via an internet connection.
The agreement between Enamor and the University of Gdańsk involves the creation of a tailored system, construction of the component base as well as its installation and implementation on board the vessel and in the office.
The University of Gdańsk’s modern research vessel is 49.5 m in length, 14 m in width and 2 m in draught. The vessel’s moulded depth is 3.8 m and extreme depth 6.55 m. The ship boasts diesel electric propulsion: Volvo generators (two 420 kW and two 225 kW) and Schottel thrusters (two stern azimuth thrusters and two bow thrusters). The economic speed of the new vessel is 10 kn, with the maximum speed 2 kn higher.
The ship’s range at economic speed is 2,500 nautical miles, and navigation autonomy is 21 days. The Oceanograf’s homeport is Gdynia and it can carry a maximum of 20 people.
Construction of the Oceanograf began at the Nauta Ship-repair Yard in Gdynia in May 2013, the launching ceremony was held in June 2015 and the naming ceremony in 2016.
