Delegation of Chonbuk National University from South Korea, headed by Vice-President for International Cooperation, prof. YOON Myeong Sook visited UG Oliva Campus. Prof. Yoon and Prof. Stepnowski signed memorandum of understanding which will make possible the exchange of staff and students between Gdansk and Jeonju.
The Vice-Rector prof. Piotr Stepnowski proudly presented the achievements and potential of UG.
The delegation visited Olivia campus and explored specific ways of organizing short term thematic visits for professors and students.
As part of the delegation, we also hosted prof. CHO Kwang Min and prof. TSKHAY Yevgeniya, while the University of Gdańsk was represented by the head of the International Office, PhD Adam Jagiełło-Rusiłowski and Patryk Poborski.
Visitors from South Korea were impressed by the modern infrastructure of the university campus. They also showed great interest in the university’s educational offer, which will surely augment the adventurous career of their students and academic staff.
Chonbuk National University was founded in 1947, in the city of Jeonju, which is in second place among the best state universities in South Korea.
