Baltic Science Network project partners meet at the University of Gdańsk

On 10 and 11 April 2018 the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdańsk hosted a meeting of Baltic Science Network partners (BSR INTERREG 2014-2020) which also includes the University of Gdańsk. The meeting was opened by the UG’s Vice-Rector for Development and Economic Cooperation, Prof. Krzysztof Bielawski.

The project aims to raise the level of scientific excellence and innovation in the entire Baltic Sea Region. Strategies and cross-border programmes are being devised as part of the project to assist higher education, scientific research and innovation. The activities are focused on the following three areas:

  1. joint strategies regarding specific research areas and an improvement in using the existing research infrastructure,
  2. devising suggestions concerning mobility tools,
  3. recommendations regarding an increase in the participation of countries with the lowest innovation index in European and international initiatives.
