Dr Magdalena Żadkowska from the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Journalism of the UG’s Faculty of Social Sciences has received a scholarship from the French government (the BGF programme) and an invitation to take part in a research visit to CERLIS (Centre de recherche sur les liens sociaux), based at Paris Descartes University, which is one of very few such centres in France to specialise in research into the family.

The BGF programme scholarship will be used to conduct research into Polish and Polish-French couples resident in Paris.

Dr Katarzyna Kotowska from the Institute of Romance Studies at the UG’s Faculty of Languages has also received a scholarship from the French government as part of the BGF programme. During her research internship at the l'Observatoire des Ecritures contemporaines françaises et francophones (Université Paris - Nanterre) with Prof. Dominique Viart, Dr Kotowska will be conducting research into contemporary autobiographical French prose.
