On 26 September 2017 the University of Gdańsk hosted delegations from the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and the Lviv Polytechnic National University. The visit was aimed at presenting proposals for joint research projects and options for cooperation in education.

During the visit, the Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation Prof. Piotr Stepnowski and Prof. Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Research of the Lviv Polytechnic National University signed an agreement at the UG’s Main Library regarding cooperation in didactics, research and innovation (an agreement with the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv was signed in March 2017). Later the delegations visited the Faculties of Biology and Chemistry and the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology UG and MUG.

The previous day, the delegations participated in a Polish-Ukrainian scientific seminar organised at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
