The Minister of Science and Higher Education has awarded academic grants to outstanding young scientists involved in high-quality research and who are able to demonstrate rich academic achievement at an international level. As a result of the 9^th competition, 168 young scientists have been awarded grants to a total amount of nearly 32 million zł.

The winners will receive 5,390 zł a month for a period of up to 3 years. In this year’s competition, 1,137 applications were considered.

The winners included:

• Dr Marta Magdalena Moskot (Faculty of Biology)
• Dr Lidia Chomicz-Mańka (Faculty of Chemistry) (interview with this grant winner as part of the “Outstanding and Talented “project)
• Dr Dominika Maria Saniewska (Faculty of Oceanography and Geography).
