Prof. Piotr Stepnowski, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, hosted Prof. Myeongsook Yoon, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation from Chonbuk National University in South Korea.

The purpose of the meeting was to sign a bilateral memorandum and to discuss the possibilities of future academic cooperation regarding the exchange of students or research and administrative staff as well as joint participation in innovative research and publications.

As part of the delegation, the University of Gdańsk also hosted Prof. CHO Kwang Min and Prof. TSKHAY Yevgeniya, with the university being represented by Dr Adam Jagiełło-Rusiłowski, Head of the International Office, and by Patryk Poborski.

The South Korean guests were impressed with the modern campus in Oliwa and with the university’s educational offer.

Chonbuk National University was founded in 1947 in the city of Jeonju and holds second place for the state university in South Korea.
