On 7 March 2018 members of Forskerforbundet, the largest trades union in Norway which brings together researchers and other employees of universities and higher education institutions, paid a visit to the University of Gdańsk.

Employees of the University of Agder in Kristiansand were interested in the living conditions and salaries of UG employees as well as trades unions organisations, internationalisation and the Erasmus + programme. The programme of the visit, organised by Dr Katarzyna Michniewicz-Veisland and Dr Helena Garczyńska, included, among others, a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Languages, Dr hab. Maciej Michalski, prof. UG; Deputy Dean Dr Ewelina Gutowska-Kozielska and the employees of the Student Foreign Exchange Section Kamila Chomicz-Sokołowska, M.A., and Katarzyna Flis, M.A.
