Profesor Kamil Zeidler from the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law and State represented the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage during the ICCROM General Assembly held between 29 November and 1 December 2017 in Rome at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
ICCROM (International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property) is an international intergovernmental organisation based in Rome and comprising 136 member states. Poland has been a member since 1958.
During the General Assembly, a new ICCROM Council was elected for which Prof. Kamil Zeidler was appointed for the period 2017-2021. Prof. Stanisław Lorentz was also member of the Council between 1960-1970 as well as its President, while Prof. Andrzej Tomaszewski was ICCROM Director-General between 1988-1992. The meeting of the newly elected council took place on 2 December at ICCROM headquarters.
