New UG project as part of the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development, Measure 3.1 "Competencies in Higher Education".

The aim of the project “W szkole Sokratesa” (At the school of Socrates) is to increase competencies concerning appropriate argumentation, critical and independent thinking, logic and heuristics through philosophy workshops organised for 90 pupils from six Tri-City secondary schools.

The instructors will use motivational teaching methods which will encourage participants to become actively involved in classes and to formulate critical reflection. As a result of abandoning the didactic method of teaching in favour of philosophical reasoning, pupils will be able to develop independent thinking, recognise the role of appropriate argumentation and the value of critically constructing their own opinion on the basis of substantiated reasoning.
