On 11 June 2016 dance groups from the UG’s ‘Alternator’ Academic Culture Centre, Animus Saltandi and Trebraruna, took part in a Scottish dance competition held in Molenhoek in Holland.
The competition brought together 76 dancers from Europe in different age categories. The youngest participants were 4/5 years old and the oldest over 40. The long and exhausting training brought the anticipated result, with the dancers from Poland winning a total of 20 medals – 8 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze. The groups are currently preparing for the next stage of the competition, due to take place in September.
We welcome anyone who wishes to join our training sessions.
