Law and Administration Staff Successes

Two research grants and a place on the editorial board of a Ukrainian academic journal are the latest successes  by staff at the UG’s Faculty of Law and Administration.

Prof. Tadeusz Maciejewski, Head of the Department of History of Law, has received a grant towards the research project The Constitutional Structure of European Free Cities in the 19th and 20th centuries (1806-1939) against the Background of the Constitutionalism of Polish Free Cities (Gdańsk 1807-1815; 1919-1939 and Cracow 1815-1846): A Legal-Historical Study as part of the OPUS 8 National Science Centre programme.

Secondly, mgr Marcin Michalakhas received a grant for his research project The Shaping of Responsibility for Medical Errors on the Basis of the American Legal System between 1794-1860. A Legal-Historical Study as part of the ETIUDA 3 National Science Centre programme. The grant includes a four-month academic placement,which mgr Marcin Michalak will spend at YaleUniversity.

Meanwhile, Dr Jarosław Niesiołowski from the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law and State has been admitted to the editorial board of the journal Interdisciplinary Humanistic Studies, published by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
