Exhibition of works of art inspired by mathematics

We warmly invite you to view an exhibition of works of art inspired by mathematics, to be held in the UG Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics building (Gdańsk, ul. Wita Stwosza 57).

The opening ceremony of the exhibition of works inspired by mathematics by students and staff at the Art School in Gdynia, prepared to mark the Year Of Mathematics in Pomerania, will be held on Thursday, 17 December 2015 at 11.30 a.m.

The opening of the new Philology building on the Baltic Campus of the University of Gdańsk has been honoured with an exhibition of artwork by Professor Stefan Chwin, the outstanding author and literary historian from the UG’s Institute of Polish Philology. The exhibition entitled “Drawings, Letters, Dreams” is made up of drawings by the graduate of Gdynia Art School, mainly illustrations for his debut fantasy-adventure stories The Letter Man and Scorpion People.

The UG Song and Dance Group "JANTAR" has proved to be the best  of its kind in the 17th Gathering of Northern Polish Folk Groups in Piaseczno near Gniew. Well Done!

The group took first place in two categories – song and dance (from amongst 6 entries) and in singing (from 11 groups).
