Global Studies is a study with an interdisciplinary program that gives the opportunity to acquire knowledge about the modern world and the problems facing humanity. They allow you to develop the ability to understand global processes and systems and the various implications of globalization, develop critical thinking, also in the context of problem solving, and improve communication skills in an intercultural context. These elements are currently perceived as crucial for professional career development. These are studies for motivated, creative people, ready to acquire the skills of analysis, learning and combining facts, drawing conclusions, ready to learn about other cultures, which will allow them to deal with global topics.
The study program is composed of blocks of issues and activities such as Global Studies, Global Politics, Global Society and Culture, Global History, Sustainable Development, Project and Workshops and MA Seminar, and also assumes participation in lectures to be chosen from the university's offer. This structure of the program allows maintain quite high flexibility in terms of inter-institute cooperation and with the social environment, as well as enriching the currently studied content.
 
Students who complete Global Studies will acquire skills to:
1. Use knowledge and in-depth understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary global challenges, processes and systems (problems such as environmental justice, processes of economic, political, historical and cultural interdependence between nations and systems of global governance bodies, security and conflict issues , social relations in a global dimension, migration or communication in a global world).
2. Analyse global processes from many points of view, also looking cross-culturally, which corresponds to the contemporary complexity and comprehensiveness of social processes.
3. Establish communication skills needed to work in a global and multicultural environment and preparation to engage as active participants in the processes taking place in a global society.
 
The main goal of the course is to prepare future professionals who will find employment in business, politics, diplomacy and paradiplomacy, non-profit organizations, social services, consulting companies and educational institutions - depending on the acquired knowledge, skills and experience. 
 
EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS
state, diplomatic and local government institutions at various levels,
business, especially from the perspective of global management, international corporations,
non-governmental organizations, including those operating in the field of education, helping migrants, and dealing with sustainable development,
media, publishing houses,
cultural and art institutions.

Acceptance criterion: diploma grade

Holders of bachelor diploma in any field are entitled to apply.
